Operation Graduation
Operation Graduation tickets will be sold on May 17 and 18 at 6:45 AM to 7:30 AM for $20 (cash or check made out to CHS Operation Graduation) in the SENIOR PARKING LOT BY THE DOORS. This event is held at Incredible Pizza from 11:30PM to 5:30 AM on May 26. Students are "locked in" for the night. There will be free games, prizes, a DJ, casino, a game room (X box and etc.), pizza, salad bar, pasta bar, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and drinks. This will be the last time the Class of 2012 will be together as a class. From the Clinic
For the end of the year, the clinic will be clearing out all medications, notifying parents to send in doctor’s notes to complete CISD forms for their children’s medical conditions. Per CISD policy, please send in any medical notes or updates on your chid's medical condition before August, 2012. If the Clinic sends you paper work to be completed by a doctor and/or parents, please complete and return this to CHS - Clinic. Be sure to have your child's immunizations up to date. The Clinic Fax number is 936-709-5864. Per CISD policy, all medications not picked up by this date will be disposed.

CONROE AREA BASEBALL CAMP
When: June 4-6
Time: 9 AM-noon
Where Ferrell Park at Elmore Field (CHS)
Cost: Â Â $75
Ages: Â 6-15 (incoming freshman)
What: Instruction from CHS coaches and former players, throwing mechanics, base-running and sliding, fundamentals of hitting and fielding, drills to make you a better offensive and defensive player
Yearbook Distribution
D-Day is coming! Yearbook distribution day is May 18th during 2nd and 3rd periods for everyone who bought a book during the pre-sale. When your grade is called, please join us in the Porter Gym to pick up your 2011-2012 Flare! If you have not bought a book, they will be sold for $85 starting May 21st during 1st through 3rd and lunches.
Changes in Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC)
result in cancellation of Shots Across Texas campaign in Montgomery County and Conroe ISD
Due to changes in state regulations the TVFC program will no longer provide vaccinations to children covered by private insurance. Local public health clinics can vaccinate uninsured children or those covered by Medicare, CHIP or SSI. Regulations require that those with private insurance be referred to their physician’s office.
These changes have resulted in the cancellation of Shots Across Texas. Please remember that there have been no changes in immunizations requirements for public schools and schools will continue to be required to enforce them. Parents and students are encouraged to make vaccination appointments as soon as possible to avoid long lines and delays.
To determine what shot your child needs, contact your school nurse or visit the DSHS website at www.immunizetexas.org.
If you do NOT have insurance, call 211 or visit http://www.vaccinatemctx.org for a listing of clinics and events that provide vaccines at little or no cost to you.
If you have Medicaid, CHIP or SSI, contact your primary care provider to schedule an appointment. Most immunizations are covered by your plan.
If you have private insurance, call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out what your plan covers. Then call your physician to schedule vaccination appointments
2012 Season Football Ticket Information
Conroe Tiger reserved football tickets will go on sale, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 23rd, 24th, 25th, from 9:00-3:00 p.m. and Mon. July 30th and Tues. July 31st from 12:00- 4:00 p.m. There will also be an evening sale on Tuesday July 31st from 6:00-8:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased ($35.00 a book) at the Conroe High Athletic Office. This sale is for current ticket holders. Any tickets not purchased during this time, will be sold to the public. If you wish NOT to purchase your tickets, please call Susan Brown at 936-709-5819. General Ticket Sales will go on sale to the general public on Thursday & Friday, Aug 9th and 10th from the hours of 9:00 on a first come-first serve basis. Summer School Information
Conroe ISD will be offering a variety of summer school programs this summer. The summer school brochures are posted on our website and will be available in the counselors' offices. Be sure to contact your student's counselor for more details and to enroll.
Registration dates – May 1- May 31
Session dates – June 6- July 13, 8am-3pm (5 days a week)
Courses offered – (all are initial credit) Math Models, World Geography, Spanish 2, Spanish 3 PreAP, Dual Credit US History, English 4B
These courses are for students that have not had instruction in the subject already. Students wanting to take the Dual Credit US History will need to complete other steps.
Registration dates – May 1- June 7
Session 1 dates – June 12- July 6 8 am- 3 pm, M-F
Session 2 dates – June 25- July 6 8 am- 3 pm, M-F

This is usually referred to as "traditional summer school".

This is for credit recovery only. Students will work through the curriculum using an online program called PLATO.

This program is for students that have not passed their EXIT TAKS.
